Diced, Yes Chef

A feature wall fabricated for a Gordon Ramsay Street Burger location in Seoul, Diced translates a dense illustrated graphic into a physical, tiled surface. Pattern is resolved against the discipline of module and substrate, so that an image conceived flat acquires depth, shadow, and craft at architectural scale.

The wall gives a compact hospitality interior a single crafted focal point — controlled end to end, from pattern drawing through fabrication to installed surface.

SOAP is an architecture and design office in Brooklyn. We make spaces and the things in them, and often build them ourselves.

About

SOAP is Sorenson Office and Partners. At its core is a hands-on studio; around it, partners who change with each project: fabricators, artists, engineers, brands, friends, whoever the work needs.

We design spaces and the things that go in them: houses, interiors, shops, restaurants, exhibitions, installations, furniture, objects, and the occasional identity. Often we build them too, in-house or on site. We like odd-shaped problems, budgets that make us inventive, and details that reward a second look.

So far that has taken us to New York, Las Vegas, Melbourne, Seoul, and a small town in Portugal.
